Drop-in Session's
Drop-in Session's are for past clients who have completed our group training program or clients looking to complete their 4th or 5th class.
Drop-in session's are somewhat weather-dependent. If it is high winds, huge temperature swings, or hazardous air quality It WILL be posted on this calendar if it is cancelled and participants will be emailed. **We will run classes if it is raining.**
**Due to our ever-changing weather conditions, it is important that you come prepared to the classes- for your selves and your dogs. Please make sure you wear clothes that can get dirty, bring water for your selves if necessary, and layer appropriately**

Urban Adventure Downtown is a FAVOURITE class for confidence boosting. We explore the sights and sounds of Downtown Vernon while socializing and desensitizing dogs to other dogs, people, vehicles, elevators, stairs, grates and much more!
During this class we work on confidence-boosting drills, working with obstacles, teaching the owners to importance of body language, formal & informal commands, working on sensitivities & problem behaviour.... and last but not least.... getting everyone to have FUN with their dog while out in public.

Dawg Party is designed and structured for you and your puppy or dog to receive the most beneficial interactions between dog-to-dog play. Each class will help your puppy/dog develop into a social, appropriate and friendly dog.
Our class structure is designed to teach healthy, appropriate play. We help teach puppies and dogs how to play with dogs of every size, not to be bullies, and how to respect when another puppy is uncomfortable or shutting down. We also work on recalls and to teach the people how to read the dogs body language and the interaction between dogs.

Sip n' Social Dawg Party is the same as the above class, except for we invite our clients to bring an alcoholic or non alcoholic beverage.

**PLEASE NOTE: There is some rules/exclusions to the temperament rating regarding Aggressive/Reactive dogs to people. Please sign up, and this conversation will be had per situation.**
Canine Connection is a fun and social class where you will work on fine tuning your dogs obedience, advancing obedience and working with sensitivities & problem behaviour.
This class is full of fun games, confidence boosting drills, tricks, working with obstacles, distractions, informal & formal commands, or to just come out and have a good time!

Pack Walk Social is a great class for dogs of all temperaments and can really help those dogs needing to work on manners when there are distractions, walking nicely on a lead, and rehabilitating dog aggression or sensitivities.
This class starts with a brief overview or basic techniques for anyone who needs support. During this time, we ask that all dogs are kept a minimum of 6ft from each other, until bandanas are on and we understand each others needs. We accept that everyones dog has different temperaments, needs and things to work on.

Outward Hound classes are everything from a leisurely stroll down the Rail Trail to a hike up on crown land. We are hoping to do more of these casual classes, so dogs and their human's can get out and exercise, socialize and have a good time.
These classes are very casual and family friendly, please just keep the terrain in mind for little ones when the hike is up the side of a mountain.

BX Forest Adventure is a healthy fun mix of obedience and fun confidence boosting drills. We use the forest as our very own play ground.
During this class we work on tons of recalls, manners, confidence boosting drills, working with obstacles, formal & informal commands, working on sensitivities & problem behaviour.... and last but not least.... getting everyone to have FUN with their dog while out in public.

Special Event Classes are when we take advantage of a fun community event with our pooches.
In Vernon we have a few wonderful events that are held yearly. Some examples are the Winter Carnival Parade, Sunshine Festival & Christmas Light-up. There are all great events to socialize and desensitize our dogs to a variety of sights and sounds.

Growl Class is our newest class. These classes are designed for dogs with aggression/reactivity to other dogs. The Growl Class will actually be a series of classes that you will need to be enrolled in and committed too.
We realize that there are very few social opportunities in real life to help resolve dog reactivity. Our goal is to set up and classically condition the dogs, and to rehabilitate and re-socailize them so they can once again enjoy the company of other dogs.
