YOUR THIRD CLASS

Mental Stimulation is a HUGE part of the puzzle. When you keep your dogs mind stimulated, they will continually look to YOU for direction. They will also look to you for their outlet.... instead of that bird or squirrel or smell.

Don't let the world be your dogs outlet. Build an amazing bond with them by letting them figure out what they should do next to get their reward/pay cheque.

KEEP YOUR DOGS MINDS

WORKING AND TRYING

TO FIGURE OUT WHAT

YOU WANT NEXT.

Practice getting your dog up on multiple different objects! High and low and doing a down command. Benches, Rocks, Bridges, Fallen Tree's, ledges...etc. Use your imagination!

It's so important to get your dog used to different surfaces on their paws. Bridges, Grates, Tarps on the ground, Moving objects, and more!

Get your dog up on different objects by using lots of praise, encouragement

and food reward. You want to try flat objects as well as round objects! Mix it up!

Dogs LOVE this exercise.

Aim to teach your dog that

belly rubs can be enjoyed pretty much anywhere!
It's important to entice them into getting belly rubs, not only when they are tired and cuddly- but also when they are full of beans. (So pet calmly).

Also try belly rubs on different surfaces. (Grass, deck, gravel, vet clinic waiting room)
